Meetin with Mayor Scott Lang New Bedford, Ma- 30 February, 2011, members of the Board of Directors along with volunteer chaplains including Jr. and Mini Chaplains under the direction of Carlos Torres a member of the Board of Directors and Superintendent Ramon Diaz met with Mayor Scott Lang to discuss several issues for our communities.
The meeting was a success where it was spoken about education, prevention, youth programs and initiatives, Clean City projects with other organizations and assistance for the elderly during the snow season.
We thank Mayor Scott Lang, his Chief of Staff William Burns, the Executive Director of Economic Development Matthew Morrissey, Rev. Lima and Rev. David Soto.
This meeting was very important to pave the way for the work of these volunteer chaplains, and like our friend Governor Pedro Rios of the Province Colon in Panama said "We are on the express to success"
The City of New Bedford has embraced the vision of the LATIN AMERICAN CHAPLAINS ASSOCIATION and have opened opportunities for our chaplains to be part of the solution to lowering crime, offer opportunities to high risk teens such in the case of our Chaplain Julio Pellot, Ramon Diaz, Martinez and others who once a week go out to the streets with patrol officers and visit high risk teens and offer them alternatives.

Mayor of Lawrence
Lawrence, Ma- Members of our association met with the Honorable William Lantigua in the city of Lawrence to introduce our organization.
Lantigua is the First hispanic Mayor in the history of the City of Lawrence and previously a State Representative and a strong supporter of Humanitarian and Social work.
We hope that our organization can be a blessing to the City of Lawrence.

On the streets of Boston
Boston, Ma.- Our Chaplains went out to the streets of Boston to give out food to the homeless and at the same time offer them alternatives and spiritual guidance.
We thank the mini chaplains for supporting and assisting the adult chaplains on this important mission to feed the homeless.
It's a blessing to hit the streets to feed and interact with our homelsee citizens that many times don't even have choices in life.
Woonsocket, RI- On Saturday our Jr. Chaplains went out to the streets of Woonsocket, RI to give out literature about our association and also to distribute religious literature free to the community.
This organization is part of the United Way, if you need resources, this is the number to call, check if your state of City is involved in the project.

We will be making history on this date, where more than 100 chaplains are sworn in as volunteer chaplains to assist and help our communities.

Chaplains have to be present at 7:00pm, Devotional will commence at 7:30pm, 8:00pm We will have the speaker Mayor Scott Lang and other dignitaries take their parts.
What are we going to do?
Es muy fácil entregarle en las manos a nuestros niños un juego de video para que ellos nos dejen tranquilo, verdaderamente que esta pasando en sus cabezas mientras juegan, que están jugando?
Creo firmemente que los juego videos en moderación no son malos siempre y cuando cual sea el contenido del juego, muchas veces los niños piden juegos a los padres y los padres sin educarse o mirar el contenido se los compran sin saber lo que verdaderamente ellos llevan.
Una forma para yo probarle a mis hijos que ellos simplemente no podían jugar todo fue que los lleve a Gamestop y le dije que ustedes quieren, vayan y tengan el dinero y espere pacientemente, luego uno de los niños me dice; no me quieren vender el juego porque no tengo 17 años, le pregunte que juego querías? mas o menos yo sabia lo que buscaban pero le mostré a ellos que si la tienda no los vende a ellos, quiere decir que no es apropiado para ellos y la mega cadena Gamestop se libra de cualquier demanda.
Mi pregunta es, si estas compañías gigantescas le dicen a los niños que no, sabiendo que las cosas tienen tanta violencia, entonces porque nosotros ignoramos eso?
Si ellos dicen que NO, es porque saben que algo puede afectar a un niños aun en las películas también.
Usted podrá educarse mas cuales son los juegos mas apropiados para que sus hijos, haga clic en la imagen de ratings para una lista mas completa.
No espere que su niños vaya de una etapa en su vida a una etapa y un final triste, cuide mucho a los niños, cuide su salud y su futuro.

VISITEN LA ÁREA DE LIDERES Nueva información
Holyoke, Ma.-Los capellanes de las ciudades de Holyoke y Springfield, Massachusetts estuvieron desde las 6am ayer hasta las 6:00pm sirviendo comida a deambulantes.
Los capellanes se paseaban por las calles de Holyoke buscando e invitando a amigos en las calles que están en necesidad y muchas veces sufriendo de hambre y atención.
El presidente de nuestra asociación junto a miembros de la Directiva y Comandante hicieron una visita de sorpresa a los capellanes y también disfrutaron de la deliciosa comida.
